Barangay Inerangan
It is said that during the Spanish regime, a gentleman from the town of Bolinao, Pangasinan, once visited his girlfriend in Barangay Inerangan. When the visitor was about to reach the house of his girlfriend, some residents from the place saw him and tried to block his way. As soon as he saw these people, he went home immediately shouting the following words: “Inang, hinarang dac!” which means “Mother, they blocked my way!” Since then they called the place “Inerangan” and became the permanent name of the Barangay. |
