It was named after the late Ramon Magsaysay, former President of the Republic of the Philippines. It was originally a part of Barangay Lucap and was known as Sitio Patricio, in honor of the man who lives at the intersection of Lucap and Cayucay.
This man was very friendly especially to travelers who ask for water in the course of their trek. When this place was separated from Lucap, it was named Lucap Sur and later was changed to Ramon Magsaysay. |
