Barangay Pogo
This was a wide wild forest before the Spaniards came. The story goes that while a groups of Spaniards were traversing the wide plains, they were attracted by a flock of birds escaping to hide themselves beneath the tall cogon grasses. They followed the birds until they themselves saw how they lived and built their nests beneath the tall grasses. They finally named these birds “pogo.” From that time on, this Barangay was named Pogo. |
