Once long ago, some farmers migrated to Alaminos from the San Vicente, Ilocos Sur. They settled at the southeastern part of the town where they formed a small community and called it 'Namvicentian' or 'place where people from San Vicente converged'. Years later, it was renamed San Vicente.
