The management of fire safety in the City is being implemented primarily by the Bureau of Fire and Protection. The BFP is being manned by 11 manpower . The City at present has three firetrucks with an average age of 17 of years.
Located in the City are fire hydrants which were established primarily in critical areas (Location Map of Fire Hydrants). From 2008 to 2012, there was a total of 192 recorded fire incidence in the City of which 133 are grass fires. Distribution of the 192 Fire Incidence By Type Covering the Period 2008 to 2012).
During the period 2008 to 2012, barangay Poblacion has recorded the most number of fire incidence. Likewise, Poblacion also accounted the most number of grass fires during the period (Distribution of Grass Fire Incidence By Barangay)
